GCISD Board Member earns state leadership designation

GCISD Trustee Member Becky St. John has earned the title of Master Trustee by completing the Leadership TASB program. Managed by the Texas Association of School Boards, Leadership TASB is a specialized leadership development program for school board members. Leadership TASB applicants are selected based on demonstrated leadership in their local district and communities, as well as for their representation of the diversity of Texas school districts.
"We are proud of Ms. St. John's commitment and success in this year-long program and are excited to see how she will bring this new level of leadership to her responsibilities as a GCISD board member," said Dr. Robin Ryan, GCISD superintendent of schools.
Ms. St. John was recognized by her fellow board members, along with district staff and community members, at the July 25 GCISD Board of Trustees meeting.
