GCISD students win big at Special Olympics bowling competition
GCISD students took part in the Special Olympics Area 11 bowling competition in Fort Worth, earning top titles. Out of the 79 GCISD bowlers participating in the competition, 18 earned a first place title, 18 finished in second place and 14 in third place. High scores in the group include a 122 (girls) and a 103 (boys).
“Over the four days our students bowled against some tough competition,” said Gabi Kanterman, adapted physical education teacher. “All of our athletes bowled very well, many of them achieving personal best scores. I could not ask for anything more from them than the best they showed me they could be this past week.”
