GCISD Dance and Visual Art students visit Europe
Earlier in June, students from the Colleyville Heritage High School and Grapevine High School dance and visual art programs participated in a cultural exchange program with the City of Grapevine’s Sister Cities of Krems, Austria and the community of West Lothian, Scotland. Students were accompanied by GHS Dance Director Kaylynn Renfro, CHHS Visual Arts Department Head Sarah Roye, GCISD Director of Fine Arts Pat Antinone and a small group of supportive parents.
Students began their tour in Bavaria where they visited the city center of Munich, Germany. Students experienced the Dachau concentration camp, and had a chance meeting with a liberated survivor of the camp itself. They then headed to Swangau, where they climbed to the Neuswanstein Castle.
